We at MITSports are thrilled to announce our official partnership with The Ferdinand Collective to launch FC Rise, a revolutionary new programme for aspiring footballers aged 16 and over. Our mission has always been to empower individuals through education and opportunity, and this collaboration perfectly embodies that ethos.
Founded by a team of prominent football figures, including the legendary Rio Ferdinand and Anton Ferdinand, the Ferdinand Collective is a leading organisation dedicated to fostering talent and creating opportunities in sports and beyond. Their mission aligns with ours: to use the power of football to inspire and develop the next generation of leaders. Through various initiatives, the collective provides mentorship, education, and pathways to success, ensuring that young people have the tools and support they need to thrive both on and off the pitch. This partnership with MITSports will further expand their impactful work, leveraging the collective expertise of both organisations to create a truly transformative experience for young athletes.
The FC Rise programme is designed to be the ultimate full-time football and education experience, combining high-level training with a comprehensive academic curriculum. This is more than just a training programme; it’s a community that champions excellence, integrity, and opportunity.

The Qualification: Your Pathway to Success
As the education partner for FC Rise, MITSports is proud to deliver the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (Sports Coaching). This two-year, full-time programme is designed to equip students with industry-recognised qualifications, hands-on experience, and opportunities for personal development. The curriculum includes a wide range of topics, such as:
- Organising sports events
- Sports development
- Psychology & analysis for sports performance
- Fitness training & programming
- Sports nutrition
The qualification is NCFE accredited and provides up to 1080 UCAS points, offering a clear pathway to higher education. In addition, students will have the opportunity to gain their FA Level 1 Coaching Qualification. We also offer support with UCAS and Student Finance processes to ensure a smooth transition to university.
An Unforgettable International Experience
As part of the FC Rise programme, we have partnered with Sasa Ilic Soccer Academy to introduce a two-week international sports development programme in Montenegro. This tour will give students a unique blend of sports and enrichment activities, where they can play against European teams, get scouted, and explore the country’s rich culture and natural beauty.
Your Place at The Dockers
The programme is hosted at The Dockers, the home of Tilbury FC. The club’s ambition to reach the National League South by 2028/29 is central to this partnership, with FC Rise players having direct opportunities to progress into senior football. This means you will get to train and play in a professional, well-equipped environment with exposure to first-team coaches.
